What time should I arrive at the airport the arrival day?

The best time to arrive is between noon and 8 pm. There is usually not a problem is a little later but the car rental counters do close at 11pm or midnight, so we may need to make alternate arrangements in this case.

What type of lodging is included?

For each route we offer two or three lodging categories. If you prefer a mix of different categories, just let us now. Also room upgrades are also possible at a number of properties.

How to find our way to the hotels?

We include a road map, and detailed maps and contact info for each hotel included in your itinerary.

What are the road conditions like in winter?

The conditions in general are good. In winter, there is the possibility of snow and ice on the roads but road clearing is quite efficient and as long as you take care driving, there is no problem. Rental cars will be equipped with all-season radial tires. In extreme cases, certain roads may be closed due to avalanche danger or control, and in that case we are always ready to make last minute changes to your itinerary and/or planned activities without any extra cost to you.

What if I have problems en route with the car, or at a hotel?

We hope not! You can always call us at the office monday to friday, and outside office hours, we provide a 24hour/7 day a week emergency number.

Will someone meet us at the airport?

Yes, we offer this meet & greet service to all our self-guided travellers. One of our friendly reps will meet you upon arrival and take you to the car rental counter to help with the pick of the vehicle, review travel documentation and go over any last minute questions. Note: for trips shorter than 10 days, we do charge an extra fee for this of 95$Cdn + GST.

Do I require an international drivers license?

You will require a valid drivers license from your country of origin. Minimum age for drivers of the rental car is 21 years. If your license is not in English, it is also recommended to obtain an International Drivers License, which is basically a translation of your license. Normally this is somethign you can get within the same day and costs perhaps 10-15$Cdn.
