Lake Louise

The village of Lake Louise offers a more romantic and tranquil escape compared to the hustle & bustle of Banff. With the three tri-area resorts: Mount Norquay, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise, and Kicking Horse not too far away in neighbouring Golden, British Columbia, it offers a skiable area hard to match and an incredibly long ski season (November - middle of May). April skiing can be amazing with very few people and some of the season's best dumps!

The village itself is home to a small number of lodges and hotels, including the Relaix-Chateaux Post Hotel. A five minute drive takes you to the lake itself, where one finds the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and the cozy, historic Deer Lodge. The ski area is only another five minutes from the village on the other side of the highway. Lake Louise offers a selection of fine dining and with the awe-inspiring views of Victoria Glacier from the lake, it is no surprise that this spot has gained fame for one of the most photographed places in the world.
