Powder Cowboy - Location & Lodging

Powder Cowboy is located in the Columbia Valley, about a 1 hour drive from the town of Fernie. With 3,500 acres of new terrain, Powder Cowboy Catskiing now boasts 6,000 acres of awesome terrain, equaling the size of many North American ski resorts. The Lizard range of the Canadian Rocky Mountains is legendary for deep dry snow; with an average of 8.5 metre of snow annually, it's a powder playground for skiers and boarders alike. The mountains and alpine bowls provide stunning open slopes, amazing rolling pitches and perfectly positioned trees for some of the best naturally gladed tree skiing in the BC Rockies.

Guests stay at the Bull River Guest Ranch consisting of 6 cozy log cabins and a number of new chalets. The cabins are equipped with in-floor heat, wood-burning fireplaces, and sleep up to 3 people. The cabins each have a private bedroom with 2 twin beds, a bunk bed with privacy curtain in the living area, and one bathroom with shower. The chalets offer two beds, a gas fireplace and ensuite bathroom. There are no phones, televisions or computer hook-ups in the cabins/chalets.

The New Saloon lodge hosts the dining room, bar, kitchen and massage rooms. There is also a large covered deck with an outdoor fireplace. The sauna/hot tub cabin is home to a large cedar sauna and two outdoor hot tubs. Wireless internet available in the saloon as well.
