
Tipping
For restaurant meals, we recommend tipping between 10% and 20% of the base cost (before GST). In some restaurants, for larger groups a gratuity of 15%-18% will automatically be added to the bill.
In certain hotels, a gratuity charge is included with the room reservation to cover porterage and housekeeping, and in this case it will be clearly indicated on your itinerary/voucher. Otherwise, tipping the bellman, concierge, housekeeping etc is customary with the amount at your discretion.
In the case of taxis, transfers, and guided activities, we recommend between 10% and 15% for good service. For fully guided tours and representative services, between 4$ - 10$ per person per day is customary.
