Canada officially uses the Metric System for measurement, although in some situations, the imperial system is still applies. For example, weight is often in pounds, rather than kg. Speed limits are indicated in km per hour (kph) and distances in kilometres (km). Temperatures are measured in Celcius (C), with 0C being the freezing mark.
USA (Alaska)
The Imperial System is still used in the United States with distances measure in miles (1 mile = approx. 1.6 km), speed in miles per hour (mph) Temperatures are measured in Fahrenheit (F).
