Rules of the Road
First off, in Canada and the US, we drive on the right side of the road! Seat belts must be worn at all times by all passengers while driving. The speed limit and road regulations vary by province and state, so pay careful attention to the signage on the roadway. Generaly the speed limit ranges from 90-110km per hour on major highways, to 60-80 km per hour on scenic secondary roads and 40 km per hour in residential areas and 30 km per hour in school and park zones. Stop signs, traffic lights, pedestrian crossings etc generally work like anywhere else in the world. If in doubt about something, just ask!
Note: The renter of the vehicle will be responsible for all fines resulting from traffic violations (including parking tickets) during the time of the rental. The provider will ensure that tickets and fines are paid in timely fashion if the renter provides the ticket and payment. Should any tickets or fines go unpaid (come in after rental period), the provider reserves the right to charge an administration fee in addition to the amount of the fine. All fees will be charged to the renter's credit card even if rental agreement has expired.
