Nestled in the Bulkley Valley, surrounded in the majesty of the Babine Mountains in the east and Hudson Bay Mountain in the west, Smithers presents a year-round sights and activities, living up to its image as "A Town for All Seasons." The Babine Mountains Recreation Area boasts 32,000 hectares (79,040 acres) of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails through sweet-smelling sub-alpine meadows, over rugged peaks, and past crystal glacier-fed lakes.
