Kenai

Kenai is the second-oldest permanent settlement in Alaska and the largest city on the Kenai Peninsula. Established by Russian fur traders in 1791, the community exploded in 1957 when Alaska's first oil discovery was made at Swanson River in 1957. Kenai provides stunning views of active volcanoes across the inlet, a little Russian history, access to incredible wilderness and world-class fishing on the world famous Kenai River.
